Through a strong multi-cultural presence, we ensure that English is the language of communication on the LOI Campus.

• Policy of bringing together different European and international nationalities in order to ensure a multi-cultural environment, where only English is spoken.
• Structured academic programme with a view to developing auditory competence
• Strong cultural content: students have the option to undertake a research project on an Irish topic which requires significant communication (usually with the student's host family).
• Examples of projects include: literature (eg. Bram Stoker, author of Dracula), history, music (U2, The Corrs), food, sport, national holidays etc
• An English test is carried out on arrival to assess the level of each student (students are placed in class according to their academic level and age)
• Language support: LOI is an Official Centre for Cambridge, Trinity and TIE examinations.
• Students studying for exams or wishing to further develop their skills may sign up for private English classes in the afternoon. Group and individual classes available.
